Carole Lynn Lybolt, 57, of Wilmington, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter.

Born in Maybury, WV on May 23, 1955, she was a daughter of the late Wallace Lee and Lois Jane Duff Thompson.

Surviving are her son, Joshua Lybolt and wife Magdalena; two sisters, Rebecca Langley and husband Paul, Jan Marshall and husband Simeon; grandson, Xavier Lybolt; and two nephews, Stephen Langley and Christopher Marshall. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Jeremiah Lybolt.

Private services will be held by the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Drive; Wilmington, NC 28401.

    Carole was a wonderful and fun friend. We shared a lot of great times together back in Lansing. I will miss her but memories of her will be with me forever. I’ll always remember that when she laughed you couldn’t help but laugh with her. My deepest sympathy to her family.
