Memorial Gifts & Donations

Carole S. Dusenbury, 82 became and angel in heaven on January 19, 2021.

She was the 5th Child of 6 to Davis Stevens and Hattie Cox Stevens of Tabor City, North Carolina. She is survived by the love of her life Charles Dusenbury husband for over 61 years. Two children son Brett and wife Carolyn, and daughter Kimberly.

She always had a helping hand and loving spirit on everything she touched. She was a registered nurse and was on many church committees. She was definitely a people person with countless numbers of friends young and old. It was so hard for her to be isolated during the pandemic because she could not do all the things she loved. She always tried to keep her extended family close by hosting yearly family reunions at her home. She will definitely be missed but always in our heart.

No services planned at this time.

Uncle Charles, Brett, Carolyn, Kim, I am very sad to hear about the passing of Aunt Carol. She was always so kind, and very welcoming to everyone. We were just talking about her over the weekend, and wishing we could visit. Our prayers are with you in this difficult time. We love you and are thinking of you, Sharon & Steve

    Sherry Weidner says:
Carole, Suzy, Darla and I were friends from early 1970’s on, having met at Wilmimgton New Comers Club. We kept in touch over the years and played bridge together every month at a local restaurant. As lives changed by circumstances we no longer were able to have these wonderful opportunities of keeping up with each other and family news. I know Carole is dearly missed by many, myself included. My sympathies are with Charles and her family, a most important part of Carole’s life.
