Mrs. Carolyn Irene “Golden Girl” Walsh was born on July 15, 1943 to Woodrow and Linne Rivenbark from Duplin County, and departed this life on January. 15 2022, completing her journey of 78 years.

Carolyn attended New Hanover High School, and worked at Manor Nursing Home. She also preformed CNA work around the Wilmington area before becoming ill later on in life. Carolyn was known as “Golden Girl” where she lived in Solomon Towers, in Wilmington. She will be greatly missed down here, we love you Mama rest easy.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories two children David W Rivenbark, daughter-in-law Pamela Rivenbark, of Wilmington NC: one daughter Christine Held (Rick) of Hudson Florida; her 6 grand children Kinesha Johnson, Jayson Johnson, Maurice Johnson, Marcus Rivenbark of NC, Autumn Skye Parks of Hudson Florida, Jason Held of Manlius New York, 17 great-grandchildren, several nieces, great nieces and nephews, great nephews and cousins Richard, Angie, Gail, Kathy (Jay), Junior, Janet of Wilmington, NC, Paula (Mike) of SC.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her mother Linnie Watts, her father Woodrow Rivenbark, two brothers: Donald and Joe Rivenbark of Wilmington NC.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2022, from the hours of 2:00PM till 4:00PM, at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel.
