Catherine “Kay” Lineback Perten Noble, 98, passed away on Friday evening on February 3, 2023 at her home.

She was born in Forsyth County, NC on May 4, 1924; daughter of the late Garney Lineback and Della Tuttle Lineback, also preceded in death by her husbands, John Perten and Jack Noble, a brother Webster Lineback and a sister, Marge Kane.

She is survived by her three daughters; Marion Sullivan (Donald), Susan Jackson (Wes Smith) and Karen Privette (Bill), a brother; Bill Lineback (Carol), 6 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church Memorial Garden, 1219 Forest Hills Dr, Wilmington, at 1 p.m. on Monday, February 13.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church Music Fund or to a charity of one’s choice.

    Kay was always so sweet to me while growing up. I enjoyed seeing her every time my grandfather would visit New York from North Carolina. She was a wonderful lady with a wonderful family!
