Cecile Marguerite Walser

Cecile Marguerite Walser passed away on August 9, 2023 in Wilmington, NC, at the age of 93.

Cecile was born in Fall River, MA on February 14, 1930 to the late Wilfred and Edna Gagnon. She spent most of her life in Pearl River, NY, where she graduated from Pearl River High School in 1948, married her husband Andrew, Sr., whom with she had a beautiful 54-year marriage, and raised their 2 sons, Andrew, Jr. and David.

She and her husband moved to Port St. Lucie, FL where they lived until Andrew Sr.’s passing in 2002. Cecile then moved to Wilmington in 2003, living close to her sister Jeanne. Cecile enjoyed tending to her home and being with her many friends that she made while living in the Northchase community. She enjoyed spending time with her friends in the community especially at the pool.

Cecile is survived by her siblings Madeleine Entwistle of Boiceville, NY, Jeanne Roberts of Wilmington, NC, Diane Tuzzolino of Cave Creek, AZ, and Denise Tallman of Nanuet, NY, and her daughter in law Laurie Walser of Airmont, NY. In addition to her parents and beloved husband, she is preceded in death by her sons Andrew Walser, Jr. and David Walser, and her brother Bernard “Sonny” Gagnon.

Cecile loved her family and many nieces and nephews dearly. We all loved her for her kind and caring ways. She is now in a greater place, and we will miss her greatly.
