Charles C. Christian, Jr. passed away on February 22, 2021 at the age of 91. He was born in Kearny, NJ on May 8, 1929. He was the son of the late Charles Christian, Sr. and Ann Swanson Christian.

“Charlie” graduated from Kearny, NJ High School in 1947 and from Davis & Elkins College in 1951. He married his wife of 59 years Joyce Minka Christian while a student at Davis & Elkins.

Charlie and Joyce raised their family in Plainfield and Basking Ridge, NJ before retiring to Bay Head at the Jersey Shore then Kiawah Island, SC. Charlie enjoyed many wonderful years playing golf on Kiawah.

Charlie and Joyce eventually moved and resided in Wilmington, NC. where he enjoyed watching the Yankees and college basketball games on TV, especially his favorite Duke Blue Devils.

Charlie worked his entire career with Western Electric and AT&T.

Charlie is predeceased by his wife Joyce A Christian, his son William T Christian, and granddaughter Erin M Christian.

He is survived by two sons Robert C. Christian (wife Susan) of Newtown, PA, Thomas J. Christian of Greenville, SC, and one daughter Linda J. Seitz (husband Timothy) of Fort Mill, SC and Grandson Doug R. Christian of Newtown, PA. He is also survived by his fur baby and Best Buddy “Lucky”.

Special thanks to his caregiver and friend Crystal Richartz and all his Wilmington friends and neighbors whom he cherished.

    We always enjoyed chatting with Charlie at Snack and Chat and seeing him often whenever we were out walking. We would see him with Lucky and he always enjoyed speaking about sports, taxes with Rod and just "chewing the breeze." We will miss him.
