Mr. Charles Edward Simmons, 73 of Wilmington died Saturday, February 14, 2015 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Simmons was the son of the late Charlie Mayo Simmons and Stella Edwards Simmons; he also was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline “Jackie” Mills Simmons and a long time member of Devon Park United Methodist Church.

Mr. Simmons is survived a daughter, Gloria Simmons of Wilmington and a sister, Janice Simmons Bradshaw and her husband Durwood of Hampstead.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel from 10:00-11:00 AM. A service will follow in the Wilmington Funeral Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. Bill Adams officiating. Burial will be in Oleander Memorial Gardens.
