Charles Randolph “Randy” Hewett age 62 of Winnabow passed away peacefully on Monday, January 28, 2019, at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter.

He was born on October 4, 1956, in NY to the late Lloyd and Julia Hewett.

Randy loved his family, grilling and working on old cars. He loved his special companion dog “Speckles”

Randy is survived by his wife Debra Hewett of 43 years; children Jennifer Granda (Frankie), Charles “Randy” Hewett, Jr. (Jennifer) and Crystal Hollis (Daulton); 8 grandchildren Jacob, Jaiden, and Jace Granda, Mathieu, Madisyn, and Parker Hewett, Kaylynn and Karson Hollis. Brothers, Henry Hewett (Janet), and Ray Self; sisters, Helen Hewett (Ken), Reba Flewwellin (Shawn) and Many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lloyd “Billy”, Joe, and Clarence Hewett, Roy and Jack Self, Jr., and sisters Genevieve Stutts and Linda Faye Self.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Friday, February 1, 2019, at Wilmington Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
