Charles Terry Bridges

Charles Terry Bridges, 66, of Winnabow, NC passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCare Center. He was born in Wilmington, NC on November 24, 1952 to Ruth and Charles B. Bridges.

He is predeceased by his wife of 40 years Martha Bridges and his father Charles B. Bridges.

He is survived by his loving mother Ruth W. Bridges; daughter Becky Prevatte and husband Adam; a son Chris Bridges and wife Amanda and grandaughter Addison Prevatte; brothers, Donnie Bridges and Gary Bridges; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins are also remembered.

Terry retired from Textilease after 20 plus years of customer service. He was an adoring husband, son, father, brother and “Poppy”. He had a passion for music and dancing in his younger days, he later traded in his dancing shoes for a helmet and two wheels. He was a member of the GWRRA, he rode rain or shine, and along with his pals, has traveled as far a Canada and was a regular at the Daytona Florida Spring Rally. He also shared a love of fishing with his family and friends that he passed along to Becky and Chris as well.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Pine Valley Baptist Church, 3940 Shipyard Blvd. Wilmington NC 28403 with inurnment following at 1:30 PM at Oleander Memorial Gardens, 306 Bradley Drive Wilmington NC 28409.
