Chester Lawrence Canaday of, Wilmington, NC, was born on Saturday, October 31, 1925 to the late Hubert and Vivia Canaday, and passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Davis Community, completing his journey of 94 years.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years: Anna Rae; two sons: Joseph Lawrence Canaday and William Douglas “Butch” Canaday.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories two sons: Robert Canaday; Jeffrey Canaday; one daughter: Kimberly Starnes; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; along with a host of friends and relatives.

The family will receive friends and family after the graveside service on Saturday, August 22, 2020, at Canaday’s Yacht Basin, 7624 Mason Landing Rd, Wilmington, NC 28411

A private graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the Canaday Family Cemetery in Wilmington, NC.
