Cynthia (Cindy) Ellen Coyne (Pike), 75, Formally of Wilmington and Hampstead passed away peacefully after a long illness on Friday August 25, 2023, in Tampa, Florida.
Cindy was born on April 21, 1948, in Boston, Massachusetts, to Arthur Pike and Viola Pike (Porter), along with her brother, Arthur Pike (Pikey).
She was married to her beloved husband, John Francis Coyne III, (Jack) on January 17, 1970 in Darien, Connecticut, after which they resided in Norwalk, Connecticut, and later in Hampstead, North Carolina, along the coast near Wilmington, North Carolina.
She graduated from Castleton State College in Vermont with her degree in Science. Afterwards, she served many communities as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Colorado and North Carolina for many years at hospitals, home health care and Lower Cape Fear Hospice. She enjoyed the outdoors, whether at the beach, the mountains, or relaxing poolside. She spent many memorable days with her family and friends in New England on Long Island Sound, and later on the beaches of Surf City, North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother. She is survived by her twin sons, Erin Coyne and wife April, Brendan Coyne, and her grandson, Brayden Coyne. She continues to live in the hearts and minds of those she touched.
