Claire Marie Patrick

Claire Marie Patrick, age 69 of Hampstead passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 20190 at her home surrounded by loved ones.

Claire was born in Abington, PA on January 30, 1950 to the late Frederick and Elizabeth Patrick. She was preceded in death by her sister Elaine Lentino.

She served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. After serving her country, she went on to become a Registered Nurse, where she continued to serve, care and touch many lives through out her career, until her retirement at age 62.

She is survived by her partner and love of her life, Dewene Starr Thomas of 29 wonderful years. She also leaves behind four sisters, Elizabeth Pesco, Theresa Patrick, Maureen Patrick, and Janet Patrick; two brothers Frederick Patrick and Richard Patrick. Many life long friends, cousins, nieces  and  nephews.

She enjoyed traveling, working in her yard and volunteering for many organizations. Claire’s favorite day of the year was St. Patricks Day, where she loved cooking the traditional corn beef and cabbage, singing Irish songs and dancing the Irish Jig. Her loving smile, Irish eyes and laughter will be missed deeply.

Claire requested to have no formal services. Instead her wish is that you spend time with friends, family and loved ones. Give them flowers  while they can be smelled.  Be kind, say I love you, wrap your arms around one another, give hugs and kisses. Show and tell your loved ones all of these while living, so they can hold and treasure it in their hearts. You have one life to live, “Make it Count”.

I do not know of anyone who was more proud of their Irish heritage than CP. She was the essence of every Irish saying... Happy go Lucky... light up the world brighter than a rainbow and made everyone feel like they found a pot of gold when she first met you. Her laughter was constant and you could always find her in a crowd by everyone joining in around he. She was kind, generous and caring. She made everyone and every living thing feel that it had a purpose. When she reached in she changed your life forever in a way that defies dictionary definition. She was my four leaf clover. Till we meet again

Dewene, I am so sorry to hear about Claire passing, she was a very sweet lady. I know she has not been herself the last couple of years and know-how hard that can be on the people that are so close to her, I will be thinking about you and will keep you in my prayers. Love you!
