    Mary Daughtry says:
I will love you and miss you always. You were my best friend and my love. We did so many wonderful things together and I will never forget them. Perhaps you are in a better place and we will meet again. I hope it is so. All my love Mary

    Gari Helms Hamre says:
Claude, you are so missed! The unexpected newspaper articles in the mail, your conversations and ready quips, phone, the thought of you and Mary sharing a glass of wine (or mug of Irish coffee) . . . I miss everything about you. Rest in peace. Gari

    Hans Milberger says:
My wife and I really enjoyed knowing Claude and enjoying his "southern hospitality" at his homes in Berkeley and Lake Tahoe. We also enjoyed receiving our annual copy of the Farmer's Almanac. We are both grateful for bringing Dana and Kirk into our lives. Peace be with you forever. -Hans Milberger

    Kirk Hamre says:
Well Grandpa, you almost made it to 93 years! What a great life. Thanks for being my grandfather for 47 years. The vacations you and grandma took us on to Wrightsville Beach for all those years has been a highlight in my life. Skiing with you when I was 5 in 1968 at First Cabin, Lake Tahoe, Bodie and the big white station wagon, swimming at The Clairemont, dining at Spenger's, breakfast at the Berkeley Breakfast Club, hot tubbing on the deck at The Arlington, the big Grizzly bear and carved dog & puppies at the Solano office. Ice cream cones at Ortman's. Thank you for your service to our country during World War II....I miss you and love you. Kirk
