I went through basic training with Clifford at Ft Polk La.in 66 or 67. I can't remember which year. I've always wondered what happened to him. We were best of friends going through basic training together. I knew he was from Hopkinsville. I'm from Springfield Tn. I googled his name and as soon as I saw his picture in the obituary I knew it was him. He looks the same as he did back then. RIP old friend 😢

    Dotty & Bart says:
Words cannot convey the sadness and heaviness that our hearts feel over the passing of our beloved friend. We had shared so much over the past 30 years and raised our children together. We will always remember Clifford as one of the kindest and most caring persons we knew. Both Clifford and Tina did countless acts of kindness towards folks they knew and didn't know and never wanted recognition for those acts. They were devoted friends whom we loved beyond any words can express. They can never be replaced in our lives. I keep hearing that song He stopped loving her today........we love you my friends and we will never forget you. Roxie, your dad spoke of you everytime we would talk and he was so proud of the woman you had become. I know I feel the same way. You have done a marvellous job and you really were a source of comfort throughout these past few years. I pray that you will be given the much needed rest and comfort that you did all you could and that nobody could go through what you have gone through without the strength of God guiding you. I pray for His continued blessings on your life as you begin a new chapter. We love you and Bobby and Beau and want you all to know we will always be available if you need us.
