Clifford James Jones

Clifford Jones 88, of Wilmington, NC passed away Wednesday January 16, 2019.

Cliff was born in Detroit, MI on May 13, 1930 the son of the late Frederick George and Beatrice Maude Holver Jones. He was a member of the Pipe Fitter’s Union. He was preceded in death by his wife Joan Ann Jones who passed away in February of 2018.

He is survived by his two daughters: Cheryl Jones Blake and husband Chris Blake of Wilmington, NC. Daughter Sandi Jones Grice and husband Randy Grice, his granddaughter Stephanie Brethour and great granddaughter Payton all of Ontario, Canada.

Cliff lived a strong and full life as a loving husband and father, his hard work as a pipefitter was balanced by his love for music. He loved to sing and play guitar with his folk trio The Loyalists in Toronto many years ago and enjoyed singing for many years after.

Services will be private.

(Dad never wanted a funeral and always said for family to simply celebrate his life, ashes will be held sacred with his daughters and family and they ask that in lieu of a flowers that donations can be made to the Dementia Society of America at www.dementiasociety.org
