Colin James O’Neal, born on November 16, 2002, left our world on January 2, 2024, at the age of 21. His journey began in Jeannette, PA, and it was in Kinston, NC, that he bid farewell to this earthly realm.

Colin’s life was a testament to courage, determination, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. Though his time with us was cut short, he accomplished remarkable feats and touched the lives of those around him with his unwavering spirit.

Colin recently graduated from Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Parris Island, SC, on November 3, 2023, following his graduation from Topsail High School in May of 2021. These achievements exemplify his commitment to serving and protecting others, embodying the virtues of honor, loyalty, and selflessness.

In the hearts of his loved ones, Colin will forever be cherished. He is survived by his devoted parents, Richard James O’Neal and Bobbi Jay O’Neal, his siblings, Brendan Robert O’Neal (Angelita Johnson), and Kiran Lynne O’Neal. Together, they mourn the loss of a beloved son, brother, and friend.

To honor Colin’s memory, a visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Wilmington Funeral & Cremation. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at Wilmington Funeral & Cremation. As a final tribute, he will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery in a private graveside ceremony.

Colin James O’Neal may have left this world too soon, but his spirit will forever be etched in our hearts. Let us remember him as a beacon of inspiration, a role model for strength and resilience. As we bid farewell to this remarkable soul, let us find solace in knowing that he touched countless lives and leaves behind an enduring legacy of honor and bravery. May he rest in eternal peace.
