Connie Tyler Holland, 70, of Wilmington, NC, passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer on September 26, 2019.

A memorial service will be held at 6:15 pm,  Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Northside Baptist Church – Family Life Center.

Connie was born in Fayetteville, NC to Jim Tyler and Edith Barefoot Scherer on April 20, 1949.  She was a graduate of Fayetteville High School.  Connie married Ralph Holland, Jr. on January 19, 1968 in Dillon, SC.  She and Ralph raised their family in Wilmington, NC, were she worked as a school bus driver for the New Hanover County School System for 35 years. She touched the lives of many students during her years driving, and was proud that she was able to drive the children and grandchildren of some of her former students. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her family and she lived every day for them.

Connie is survived by her husband – Ralph, her children – Byron and his wife Becky, Brent and his wife Aubrey, her mother – Edith Scherer, her father – Jim Tyler and her siblings – Linda, Ava and Carla, her sister-in law Fran Reed, her brother and sister-in law Harvey and Marsha Holland, and her grandchildren – Casey, Mia, Sophia, and Rhett.

Memorials may be given to Lower Cape Fear Hospice in her name.–
