Connie loved her friends and neighbors, as well as shopping, great purses, shoes, lobster, the women’s movement, the beach, and filled her home with everything blue and white. She enjoyed great food and wine and the conversation and laughter that goes with having a meal together.

Connie was an active member of the Assistance League of Women ( ALW ), Scene III, and the Red Hats Society. She donated to local charities and was very generous with anyone who needed help.

    Maureen LaFountain Hart says:
Connie was a friend and classmate from childhood. We reconnected at our 50th high school reunion in 2013 and enjoyed lunch together in Raleigh last Christmas. She had a gift of reaching out to people and putting them at ease. I will miss Connie and love of life and joy in the moment.
