  I knew Coni for 68 years. We became good friends through our common love of gymnastics and later a shared interest in sailing. Coni was unique personality with a strong dedication the the things he loved to do, which included gymnastics, singing German beer drinking songs, dancing, sailing, building whatever needed building, hard work and most of all getting together with friends. He will be missed by all who knew him. Coni had a strong belief that he would be together again with his dad who he lost when he was young, his mom, Dieter, Adolf and all those who left this life before him. I like to think he got his wish.

When at last your weary feet shall have come to the end of life’s toilsome journey, and from your nerveless grasp shall drop forever the working tools of life, may the record of your life and actions be as pure and spotless as this fair emblem which I place in your hands tonight; and when your trembling soul shall stand naked and alone before the Great White Throne, there to receive judgment for the deeds done while here in the body, may it be your portion to hear from Him who sitteth as the Judge Supreme the welcome words, “Well done, good and faithful servant!
