Cornelia Leeuwenburg Royal, 69 of Wilmington passed away October 9, 2008 from Pancreatic Cancer at Lower Cape Hospice & LifeCareCenter.

She was born August 15, 1939 to her parents Cornelius and Margaret Forlaw Leeuwenburg who preceded her in death.

Cornelia was survived by her daughter Lisa Royal and Lisa’s husband Edward Pyle of Charlotte, NC, sisters Ann L. Magil, Johanna Allen, Mary Sheffield all of Wilmington and brother Charles Leeuwenburg of Wilmington.

Memorial service will be held 6:00 PM, Monday, October 13, 2008 at First Baptist Church, Carolina Beach, where the family will receive friends following service.

    I have many thanks each day to our Precious God above and one of them is for sending Cornelia into my life to be my friend. She was so honest and up-front with all who knew her and so willing to help when she thought it was needed. She is a pattern that we all need to be like. We have a loss but she has a win!!
