Dana Paul Hurst 59, of Wilmington, NC died unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at his home.

Dana was born in Sharon, CT., on June 1, 1962, the son of the late William C. Hurst, Jr.; and Martha Lillian Kimlin Hurst. He owned his own painting business for over 35 years in Dutchess County, NY. Dana spent a lot of time at Vigilant Hope, creating many meaningful relationships. He had also attended Oak Grove Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his brother William C. Hurst III.

Surviving are his wife of 34 years Pamela Chadwell Hurst; daughters Kayla Hurst, Amber Bathon and husband Zach; brothers Jamie Hurst, Matthew Hurst and wife Sue Ann; sisters Arvilla Brito, Genny Hurst and Julie Hurst; sister in law Colleen Hurst. He also had four grandchildren that brought him an immeasurable amount of joy Jae Thompson; Cameron Scott-Hurst; Caiden Scott-Hurst and Lillian Bathon; also many, many nieces & nephews that he loved deeply.

A celebration of life will be held 11:00 AM Monday, October 18, 2021 at Lake Forest Baptist Church 1626 Lake Branch Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
