Daniel Deon Webb-Sholar, born December 22nd, 1990 in Wilmington, NC, left this world on June 9th, 2023 at the same place he called home. At the age of 32, Daniel had already made an impact on the people around him, and his absence will be felt by many.
Daniel worked as a Forklift Operator, but his true passion was talking. He loved to talk about anything and everything, and he was known for being a master debater who was always right. He also had a love for Freestyling Music, fishing, and detailing cars. But what really set Daniel apart was his ability to make things happen for his family. He was the prankster of the family, always finding ways to make them laugh and smile.
Surviving Daniel are his loving wife Melanie Williams, his children Josiah, Graycen, Wynter, Daniel Jr., Samiyah, and Riley, his mother Angela Smith and stepfather Carl Smith, father Danny Deon Webb, his brothers Maurice Webb-Sholar Tamara Batts and Marcel Sholar, his sister-in-law Kindalyn Sholar, and his grandparents Pamela and William Webb, Annie Webb and Willie Webb, and Earl and Sharon Hewett. He is also survived by his uncles Michael Sholar, Michael Webb, and William Hewett, and his aunts Tara Webb (Melvin), Felicia Webb, and Rebecca Hewett. He leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, along with his best friend Daryl Cromartie.
A funeral service for Daniel will be held on Saturday, June 24th, 2023 at 1PM at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel. While we mourn his loss, we can take comfort in knowing that Daniel’s memory will live on through the people whose lives he touched. Rest in peace, Daniel.
