Mr. Danny Lee Hunter, 61, of Winnabow, N.C., and formerly of Wallace, N.C., passed away June 16 after an extended illness.

Danny was born April 14, 1962 in Burgaw, N.C., to Robert Reynolds Hunter and Anna Allene Jones Hunter. He attended Wallace-Rose Hill High School. He worked as a freelance carpenter who could fix or repair just about anything. He deeply loved western movies.

Danny is survived by his wife, Maureen Parks; his daughter, Cortney Howard; three grandchildren; his brothers, Robert Gene Hunter and Thomas Hunter; and his sister, Linda Susan Hunter. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Wanda Joyce Hunter and Cheryl Ann Hunter.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 22 at 2:00 PM, at the Brunswick Cove Living Center, 1478 River Road SE, Winnabow, N.C. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the ASPCA, in honor of Danny’s love of animals.
