Memorial Gifts & Donations

Daryll Wayne Fahy, 58, passed away peacefully but unexpectedly in his sleep on December 2, 2022, in Wilmington, N.C.

Daryll grew up and spent most of his adult life in Cedar Knolls, N.J. He relocated to North Carolina, more than a year ago, to pursue an opportunity as an animal care worker. He had an enormous love for music, animals and fishing. A devoted grandfather, he cherished nothing more than the time he spent with family and friends. He was an extremely loving person, and would give you the shirt off his back. May his life of resiliency be an inspiration to those in need. Farewell to our loving father.

Daryll is survived by his mother Rose Lee Fahy (Cedar Knolls), his son Dylan and wife Christina (Colorado), daughter Marisa (Alpha), and grandchildren Adelaide, George, Scarlett, Gwendolyn and Ethan, and his lifelong friend, Julia Helm.  He was preceded in death by his father, Edward James Fahy Sr., and Brother Edward James Fahy Jr.

There are no services planned at this time.

Darryl, I know you can hear us all here as we say “until next time” 😉 ..from reading tributes here tonight, it is obvious you’ll be missed by many! How blessed you were able to see your own child now with grandchildren ..from the sounds of it, you gave them nothing but pure, genuine love and attention. Nothing pretentious about you Darryl.. you were the real deal.. A wonderful friend, brother and grandfather..Your passion for music (and good music) I might add did not go unnoticed🎼🎵 Sing and soar with the angels on your new journey Darryl ~ until we meet again ~ D.

When we moved to Cedar Knolls in 1968, Daryl was one of my very 1st friends. Many fond memories of our early years, running around the neighborhood, playing ball, and causing trouble. 😎 RIP my old friend.
