We would like to extend our condolences to David's family and all his loved ones. When David returned to NC four years ago, he stayed in our home for some time. We were fortunate to have those months with him, allowing us a chance to really know him. He was a kind, gentle, and thoughtful person, who really cared about his impact on the earth. He treasured nature and peacefulness. Sadly, he struggled, as many do, but we know he was a good person and we are deeply sorry for his loss. We will miss him and his tender spirit.

I remember Dave from many years ago when he lived on Hatteras Island in the 1970's. He was a very kind person who loved to surf. We were friends for about a year and then he moved away and we lost touch. IN searching for him online I happened to see this obituary. I am sorry to see that he has passed away and extend my condolences to his family and friends. I know that he is in the arms of the angels now. With deepest sympathy.
