David Curry Wright 51, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington, NC.

He is survived by his wife Michele; daughter Kennedy; son Boston; mother Millie Frye and brother Jason Wright.

He was predeceased by his father Frank Wright.

David graduated from Carson Newman University where he played baseball. He was a special education teacher for over 18 years and had a deep caring for all his students. He was a very free-spirited and passionate person. David loved playing music on his guitar and writing his own songs. He loved the time he spent with his family and friends and will forever be missed by many.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

    Peggy and I are saddened by David’s passing. We will always remember how talented he was in all sports, playing and coaching. We remember the fun times we had socializing with David , his wife and his children when we had our beach place at Oak Island. Our sincere condolences to all his family. May he Rest In Peace.

    David was an amazing man! We met in HS and became the best of friends. He made those years so much easier because of his big heart, great smile, and a way of always making me laugh even on stressful days. My heart goes out to his wife and children. David will truly be missed!
