David Elwood Hinson, age 62 of Wilmington passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
David was born in Wilmington on December 9, 1951 to David Alton Hinson and Betty Crocker Hinson. He grew up in Wilmington and graduated from Tarboro High School. He attended Chowan College and graduated from UNCW.
He is survived by his sisters, Ada Lester, Donna Beckworth, and Lynn Fontana; special nephews, Jessie and Jared, along with other nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, July, 8, 2014 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel.
