David Eugene Walters, 76, of Wilmington, NC, formerly of Toledo, OH, passed away Monday, December 24, 2012 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCare Center.

Born in Toledo, OH, on March 26, 1936, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Maxine Farmer Walters. He was retired from Chrysler/Jeep Corporation.

Surviving, are a son, David Edmund Walters, of Toledo, OH; four daughters, Bridgette Maher (Bob), Kelley Hasting, Lisa Fisher, all of Toledo, OH, Brandy Walters, of Oldsmar, FL; thirteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Judith Walters.

No services are scheduled at this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Bible Chapel; 3740 W. Alexis Road; Toledo, OH 43623.

    I am sending my deepest sympathies and condolences to all the family. Dave was a wonderful man. I have many memories of him. I am just glad to have known him. He was a great friend of my parents,and always nice to us kids.i am glad i was able to visit him a few weeks ago.he will always be in my memories and my heart. I hope he and my dad are together now in heaven both watching over us.R
