David Ray Robotham, passed away Monday, February 20 at his home in Wrightsville Beach NC.

He was preceded by his loving mother Peggy Manchester, father Gordan Robotham and Stepfather Paul Manchester. He is survived by Half Brother Richard Robotham.

David was raised in Westport Ct. where he distinguished himself as a young Sea Scout and starting a successful scuba salvage company, SOS.
He attended Roanoke College in Salem Va. and earned a BS in Biology. After returning to Westport, David started Sound Island Lobster Company, fishing for lobsters, selling them in his seafood stores and restaurant.
Following a move to Wrightsville Beach to be with his Mother Peggy he started Robotham Marine Surveyors and had a successful career appraising and surveying boats. He also served several years as a President of NAMS, a respected marine surveying organization.
David had a great passion for cooking, gardening, painting and entertaining. But it was his love of the ocean as a Master Diver, seaman and marine expert that was most admired by his many friends.
Capt. Dave we love you.
