Dawn Renee Hubbard, age 44 of Wilmington passed away on Thursday, November 5. 2020 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born on July 19, 1976 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Leonard Lee Hubbard and Clare Ellen Block Hubbard.

Dawn enjoyed running, watching sports, (was a huge Tennessee Titans and Duke University fan), live music, reading, and spending time with friends in DownTown Wilmington. She volunteered locally to help others in the community.

Dawn is survived by her sister, Emily (Brent) McNeil of West Portsmouth, Ohio; nieces Audrina Turner and Harper Bailey; nephew Camden McNeil; and sister Sarah Hubbard of Arizona; and by her special BoyFriend, Alan Aldridge of Wilmington; cousins and countless friends who loved her like family.

Memorial service plans will be at a later time when all of her family and friends can gather together to remember Dawn.

    One morning we were leaving a friends house and a elderly lady who was the friends neighbor asked us if we had any Benadryl cause she was having a allergic reaction to something and none of had any so with out I said I’ll give you a ride to store and get some and she said no she didn’t want to be bother and of Dawn told her to get her butt in car so she did but she was a little crazy so of course when we got to the store I volunteered very quickly to go in and get the Benadryl and remember Dawn giving me a look like you ass hole , anyway we her back to her house and had a good laugh and we’re very happy to have done a good deed .., my heart is so heavy rte now she was a awesome person and I’m so sorry for your loss and i wish we hadn’t drifted apart . Please keep me poster on her memorial I would love to pay my respects..

    I will always remember the first day we met. Your bigger than life personality bowled me over snd you got the job. For 12 years, we worked side by side. I saw the love you had inside and the heartache you lived with daily. You loved so effortlessly, never judging. Always accepting, but never feeling worthy. I do hope you know your worth now.
