Debra (Debbie) Anderson Croom, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018 at age 62 at her home, in Hampstead NC.

Debbie was preceded in death by her late father Bruce Hooks Anderson of Hampstead, and her biological mother Hilda Hailey, Richmond, VA.

Debbie is survived by her husband Robert W. Croom (Bob) of Hampstead, NC, Loving mother Joyce Faye Paschall Anderson of Hampstead, who has been by Debbie’s side day and night for the past two months as Debbie battled multiple health problems. Debbie leaves behind two loving children Michael Brandon Croom, and wife Courtney Jackson Croom of Wilmington NC, Melody Brooke Croom Hudson, and husband Richard Hudson of Hampstead, NC. Also her four grandchildren- Brookelynn Farah Hudson, Ezekiel Hooks Croom, Bryler Faith Hudson, and Penelope Kenlynn Croom. May god keep a watchful eye on all of these children. Debbie has many brothers and sisters Donnie Anderson (Beth) of Miami, Florida, Chuck Comer (Kathy) of Richmond, VA, Robin Comer Robinson (John) of Maryville, Tennessee, Dawn Anderson (Bill) of Hampstead, NC, Wendy Perdue (Billy) of Hampstead NC. Debbie showed nieces and nephews Alicia Perdue, Trey Elliott, and Allie Perdue all of Hampstead tremendous love.

Debbie was a faithful member of Blake’s Chapel Advent Christian Church. She held many positions there over the years, but her passion was the children and youth of the church. Debbie was a loyal employee of Canady & Son Exterminating for more than 36 years. She left a lasting impression on all of her coworkers. Debbie will be missed greatly by all who knew her.

A meaningful service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Blake’s Chapel Advent Christian Church, Sloop Point Road, Hampstead, NC.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel , from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm.

 In lieu of flowers please send your donations to Camp Dixie, 373 W. Bladen Union Church Road, Fayetteville, NC 28306 or Duke University Hospital, 2301 Erwin Road, Durham, NC 27710 in honor of Debbie Croom.

    My heart and condolences go out to the family. I worked with Debbie years ago at Canady & Sons. She was a very sweet woman who will be missed dearly by many. I told my daughter Melissa, who would come to work with me occasionally about the news...and her response was, "Awe, she was always so nice to me!" Debbie gave her heart and soul to everything she done. I cant believe this news.....I'm at a loss for words. God Bless.

    Debbie was a great influence to me I loved her she loved me with all my bad habits and thoughts. I'm sober and staying that way for her and alicia Perdue. Love you miss Debbie sleep until the time comes. Love always, Greyson Swinson
