Kevin: It breaks my heart that Debbie has passed away. Her last words to me were don't worry I'll be fine. I believed her because I so desperately wanted her to be ok. She was a friend in good times and bad. She was always there if I needed an ear to vent or a friend to share good news with. When she was in Lindenhurst we had lunch together at Applebees or the diner. Good company good conversation. I truly miss our lunches but she was happy in North Carolina with her new friends and the activities they shared. We spoke on our cells every week sometimes several times a week if one of us needed to talk. I get in my car to go home from work and just want to call her. Be well Kevin

Kevin, we are so grateful for being able to spend some time with you both on our last trip back east, and for your generous hospitality. Although 35 years had passed since we’d seen you, it felt like yesterday. Debbie was as beautiful and vivacious and thoughtful as ever. Our sincerest condolences go out to you and the family. You’re in our thoughts and prayers.

    Sharon Burke says:
Dear Kevin- I have the fondest of memories of my times with Debbie. She was an active member of our neighborhood, including my PWC book club; she created and organized our 70’s dance and organized the fund raiser for our memorial bench. Most of all she was a dear friend to me, like a sister. I miss her so much; she will remain forever in my heart. My love and condolences to you- we are here for you
