Memorial Gifts & Donations

Debra Melvin Little, age 68, went home to be with her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ on April 4, 2024, in Wilmington, North Carolina, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on September 1, 1955, in Greensboro, North Carolina, to William Henry Thomas Melvin, Sr. and Virginia Melvin Faircloth. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Pamela Tartt and Candace Rice.

Debbie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She shared fifty beautiful years of marriage with her husband, Lawrence Alvin Little. She is also survived by her daughters, Courtney Little and Carley Naikelis (Bobby), and her siblings, Billy Melvin (Cheryl) and Ginger Jackson (Danny) and her brother-in-law Robert Rice. Debbie’s greatest joys were her grandsons, Carson and Charlie Naikelis, whom she cherished dearly. She found immense happiness in spending time with her family, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Debbie had unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and was a cherished member of Northside Church. Her dedication to her faith was evident in every aspect of her life. She was also a devoted teacher, dedicating over 30 years to serving at Winter Park Baptist Church Preschool. Debbie’s commitment to education left a lasting impact on the lives of many children, whom she nurtured and guided with love and compassion. While her loss is deeply felt by all who knew her, Debbie’s life is celebrated for the love, kindness, and faith she shared with everyone around her.

Graveside services in memory of Debbie will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Oleander Memorial Gardens, officiated by Pastor Kenny Chinn and Pastor Mike Morley.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be sent to Northside Church in honor of Debbie’s legacy.
