Del Lloyd Northway, 80, of Wilmington, NC passed away Friday, January 20, 2012 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter.

He was born in San Leandro, CA on October 26, 1931.

Del was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps serving during the Korea War. He was a retired educator and a member of Immaculate Conception Church.

He was loved and is survived by his wife of 51 years, Flo Northway; four surviving sons, Blake, Del, Ross and Jason; twelve grandchildren and two great grandsons, and one sister Marsha. He was preceded in death by a son Mark.

Mass of the Resurrection will be 10 am Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 6650 Carolina Beach Rd., Wilmington, NC.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Building Fund.

    I knew your son as a co-worker and what a great guy he was. Apparently his parents and family raised him very well because he grew up to be a lovely human being.
