Denise Dickens

Denise Dickens, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend passed away on June 4th, 2023 in Wilmington, NC at the age of 68. She was born on November 19, 1954, in Rahway, NJ.

Denise was a very loving and spirited human being who showed her appreciation for life by giving to those that were less fortunate. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Denise is survived by her son Malik Dickens, born December 17, 1974, in Newark, NJ, whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by her grandchildren’s mother, Suprenia Tripp, and grandchildren Sydae Dickens, Maleyah Dickens, Malik Dickens, Jr., and Samyah Dickens whom she adored. Denise also accepted, and loved as her own, her grandchildren’s siblings, who lovingly called her grandma, Marquan Ward, Quinteria Waddell, and Tydonalvin Waddell.

We will forever cherish the memories we have of Denise and take comfort in knowing that she enriched our lives with her kindness and love. May her soul rest in peace.

Denise’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, June 17th, 2023 at 2:00 pm with a Visitation held at Wilmington Funeral & Cremation – Wilmington Chapel. All that knew and loved her are welcome to attend to pay their respects.
