Memorial Gifts & Donations

Dennis P. Rosenbaum, 69, of Sneads Ferry, died on August 15, 2021. Denny, as he was known to his friends and family, was a lifelong entrepreneur and successful business owner who had lived in North Carolina since 2004. Born in Niagara Falls, New York, to Josephine and Paul Rosenbaum, he first worked in his father’s laundry business before the family moved to Scottsdale, Arizona. In this new desert home, Denny worked to grow the successful Phoenix business, Lotions and Potions, and would go on to become a part owner.

As the consummate small-business owner, Denny tirelessly worked to grow his businesses and pursue new opportunities. An innovator who recognized the potential of new technology for commerce, he was one of the first to host an online store on Yahoo nearly two decades ago. He continued these initiatives throughout his life, constantly pursuing new ventures with passion and tenacity.

When he wasn’t working on a new project or website, he was chasing chickens or growing and canning tomatoes. He loved fishing on his boat, gambling in a casino, and eating Jelly Belly jellybeans. His biggest passion, however, was watching his children play sports. There is no telling how many hours he spent watching his children play sports at tournaments all over the country. No matter the sport or location, Denny was always present. It didn’t matter which sport or child it was, when they were playing ball, they had all of his focus and pride.
A truly selfless and compassionate man, Denny was steadfastly committed to caring for others. He gave freely and sacrificially of his time, love, and knowledge. Whether it was helping an old dog, a friend, or his loved ones, Denny was always there to lend a hand.

Taken too soon, Denny and his second wife, Laura, passed within a week of one another. He is survived by his children from his first marriage, Paul Rosenbaum and Carly St Germain, and his son with Laura, Corbin. He will be missed until we meet again in heaven.

    Wayne Shute says:
I had known Dennis since the early 80's when he and his first wife were building their first business - Lotions and Potions in Tempe, Az. We went on to become good friends, eventually best friends. Spent a lot of time together over the years and got to know his parents very well. Spent many a wonderful holiday at their house in Scottsdale. Dennis was my best man at my wedding in 1990 and was a big influence in my life until he left Arizona in the early 2000's. We lost touch at that time and never really reconnected. I just found out of his passing and am totally rocked. I miss you friend and will forever regret not being able to talk to you before you passed. Say hi to your mom and dad for me. I loved them like a second family.
