This morning I looked at the Obituary page of the paper for the first time in a year or more as I am a transplant to Wilmington and I don't expect to know people on the page.. I saw the first name of Devon in column one and thought, I knew at Devon at one time. Then I noticed that this Devon graduated from Adelphi. Oh my God: Devon Draffen. I've lived here for three years and had no idea that she was here. We were classmates and everyone noticed Devon. She was a dynamo with fierce energy. intelligence, and her athletic ability. She was the first surfer girl that I ever knew. I understand how much she must have touched the lives of many people. I'm so happy that she loved the life she had. Her children are blessed to have had her as an example for their lives. I wish I had known she was here. God bless Devon.
