    Sherrel Bunn says:
Abb was a co-worker with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers and friend for over 25 years. He had a meticulous mind, a wonderful smile and was a very kind man who loved his family and friends. I smile to myself…when I think of asking him a question…and he would answer with his favorite word…”Yep”…! “Thank you Abb” for your friendship…and I know you are rejoicing in heaven! Sending sincere condolences to Abb’s family…

    Thomas freeman says:
I met Abb in the late 70's when he was a construction inspector on the Falls (Dam) Project. Following the completion of the construction he was hired as a contract specialist and worked in the Falls Lake operations office where I worked. Abb and I had a lot of good times together. Latter Abb accepted a job in Wilmington. Whenever I was in the Wilmington office I always made it a point to stop in and say hello to an old friend. Rest in Peace.

    George Ann Stallings Ricks says:
I will always carry a mental picture of Abb from childhood...sitting in front of the heater at home reading a book or studying notes. He was meticulous, studious, patient, and reserved. His hair was always combed and his shirt tail tucked in. He would help me memorize my lines for a school play, or "call out my notes" for a test when Mama was busy. He seemed to always have time for me. I would stay up late for when he came home from dates so we could talk. Later, when he returned from the Marines and moved to Raleigh, he would let me ride around with him in his Plymouth Fury. Such sweet memories. I love you Abb and look forward to the day when we all meet again.
