Diane M. Kucera, 67, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015 in the emergency room at Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center in Bolivia, NC surrounded by her family.

Diane was born July 1, 1947, in Cleveland, to Willow Daniels who preceded her in death and Rosemary (Blank) Daniels who survives in Avon, OH. She married Jan Kucera on September 13, 1969 at the St. Thomas Church in Rocky River, OH and he survives in Tiffin.

Survivors include her two daughters, Jennifer (Steve) Brown and Kimberly (Glen) Heyman both of Tiffin, two grandchildren, Caden and Chloe Heyman, two brothers, Dennis Daniels of Medina and Doug Daniels of Medina.

Diane was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher. She was involved with the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, Altar Guild and was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader. Diane was a 1965 graduate of Westlake High School.

Diane was a devoted daughter, wife of 45 years, mother, grandmother, and friend who cherished spending time with them. She had a special love for family, pets, animals, and an annual family vacation to Holden Beach, NC. She thoroughly enjoyed creating arts and crafts for family, friends, and church projects; not only for the holidays but also for events throughout the year. She was a woman of faith and the heart of her family. Diane was a fourteen year breast cancer survivor. She never gave up and she never complained, maintaining a brave and cheerful outlook of an optimistic future. Anything she undertook, she was completely dedicated and committed to bringing it to fruition. She will be greatly missed by anyone who knew her.

Funeral services for Diane will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, June 15, 2015, at the Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Richard Habrecht officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, from 2-5 p.m., at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Burial will follow the services on Monday, at Greenlawn cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Redeemer Lutheran Church or to the Seneca County Humane Society.
