Donald Marion Boltz(Don), age 81 of Wilmington passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022 at his home.

Don was born in Akron, Ohio on June 21, 1941 to Roy Boltz and Grace Hendershott Boltz.

He retired from L.R. Gorrell Company in Raleigh NC with over 40 years of service in Industrial Ventilation Sales.  He enjoyed fishing, playing golf and spending time with his family and friends, enjoying the good times and laughter.

Don is survived by his son Donnie Boltz and his wife  Cathy of Wilmington, his daughter Alison Boltz of Wilmington; one brother Roger Boltz and his wife Viki, one sister Phyllis Kipp and her husband Richard; step children Charles Frangis and partner Doug, Christopher Boltz, Leilani Wood and husband Ben; grandchildren Samie Foust and husband Johnny, Hailey Blocker, Conner and Kiah Boltz, Kalepa and Noa Wood  and great grandchildren Emma and Mason Foust.

No formal services are planned. A celebration of life will be held among family and friends in the spring or early summer.

To honor Don, a memorial donation can be made to The Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCare.

    My dad was such a good man with such a big heart and a huge sense of humor. He was so much fun to grow up with and always kept us laughing. He always treated my friends like part of the family, being sure to include them on our fishing trips and vacations and like I said before, always kept us laughing. His love for children and animals was so heart warming. He had a lot of love to give and I am going to miss him every day for the rest of my life. I love you Dad. Rest in peace. 💕
