Donald Jerome Henry was born October 6, 1951 in Wilmington, NC to Alice Shepard and Bennie Henry. He made his earthly transition on September 1, 2023 at August HealthCare in Wilmington, NC.

Donald was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Shepard, his son Donald Frison and his wife of 31 years, Doris Linda Lewis-Henry.

Donald was an energetic spirit; the life of every party. He could make you laugh, cry or just think deeply about life in general. He was a very gifted artist, a wonderful cook and very fond of nature, music and women. If he ever considered you to be a friend, you had a friend for life.

Donald is survived by his children, 3 sons, Dion, Kuumba (Tabuti) and Stephen. 2 daughters, Renita (Ricky) and Linda. 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. 2 special friends, Eloise Clayton; Ruth McGee and a host of other family and friends.
