Donald Reed Fisher, age 72 of Wilmington passed away November 24, 2010.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Jimmy Fisher.

Donald is survived by his wife of 52 years Ruby G. Fisher, daughters Donna Smith and husband Rick and their children Ryan, Amy, Eric and his wife Molly. Kelly Fisher Dyer her sons Scotty and Michael and their father Jeff Dyer, and their grandson Ayden and Donald’s brother Roger Davis.

Donald served his country in the US Air Force. He was a Machinist retiring from GE in 1999. Donald was a member of Southside Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He will be remembered as a great neighbor, friend and a man that truly loved his family.

Celebration of Donald’s Life will be 3:00 PM, Monday, November 29, 2010 at Southside Baptist Church, 3320 S. College Road, Wilmington, NC 28412.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401 or The Benevolence Fund at Southside Baptist Church.
