Dorothy “Dot” M. Johnson, age 72, of Wilmington, NC and formerly of Langhorne, PA, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014 at the Lower Cape Fear LifeCareCenter.

She was born August 25, 1941 in Pine Hill, New Jersey the daughter of the late William E. Thompson and Betty Larsen Thompson. She is preceded in death by her only brother, William Thompson.

Dot loved to sit and watch the birds in the yard and enjoyed cross stitching as well. Most of all she was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother whom will be dearly missed by all.

Surviving are her loving husband of 50 years, Charles A. Johnson Jr.; daughters, Lisa Gundrum and husband Darrell, and Jennifer Kolotello; granddaughter, Lila Kolotello; sisters, Gloria Mongillo, Carol Applegate and Kathi Horn; and numerous other loving family.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation, 1404 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.

Dot..."I am so sorry that I hadn't chatted with you more than we did, you are one of the most incredible women I've known, we had some good times and lots of laughs at the service, remember the UFO we saw when I took you home one night after work that was the coolest, loved you like a big sister rest now my friend"
