Dorothy Surles Mohr, age 98, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017.
Born in Wilmington NC, Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Dawn Mohr Martin of Jacksonville, FL and grandchildren: Michael and Damon Martin, Cynthia Caster, Andrea, Kurt and Darah Markley; sisters: Celeta (Robert) Cowan, Connie (Edward) Potter and Juanita (Jim) Jeffords; brother, Emerson (Sarah) Surles; son-in-law Tom Markley.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew H. Mohr, daughter, Cynthia Markley, brother Julian F. Surles and sister Eleanor Nagel.
Dorothy very much enjoyed her “senior get-togethers” while living in Jacksonville, Florida. She was always welcoming to her family and friends who would go to Florida for their vacations.
Honorary pallbearers are the members of the “Challenge” Sunday School class of Pine Valley Baptist Church.
A memorial service to honor her memory will be Monday August 7, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel with burial immediately following at Greenlawn Memorial Park Wilmington NC.
