Dorothy Taylor passed away on July 3, 2007 in Wilmington, NC. She was a native of Quincy, FL, born June 30, 1916 to Mary and Theodore Haire.
She is preceeded in death by her husband Thadys H. Taylor of Blounstown, FL. They moved to Jacksonville, FL in 1946 and together owned and operated Golden Seal Inc. After retiring they enjoyed RV(ing) across the U.S. They believed in community involvement and were active in the Methodist church.
Survivors include a daughter Portia Doran, her husband, William of Wilmington, NC; two loving grandchildren, grandson John Best, his son, her greatgrandson, Paul Best of VA Beach, VA; grandaughter, Leann Bevans, her husband, Michael of VA Beach, VA; sister-in-law Irma Haire (Herman) of Columbus, GA; nephew Bill Haire, Jr., his wife RoseMarie of Franklin, TN; a brother-in-law, Ned Taylor (Thad) Panama City, FL; niece Peggy Basinger of Panama City, FL; her VA Beach friends Helen Meck, Margaret Mancini, Helen Bell and special friend Skylar.
Funeral services will be held 9:30 AM, July 22, 2007 graveside at Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Robert Melby officiating in Jacksonville, FL.
