Edith Lou Flowers, age 79, died on Thursday, February 13, 2014.

Mrs. Flowers was preceded in death by her husband, Burnice Ray Flowers.

She is survived by her daughter Ede Berne’ Flowers and her sons, Jeffrey Hales Flowers and Ray Barrett Flowers.

A memorial service and visitation will be held from 3:30 – 5 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel.

    I am so saddened by this news. What a wonderful character my Aunt Edith was. I always looked forward to my visits with her. It was so nice to stay in touch despite the rest of my dysfunctional family. I wish I had done a better job of it later in life. My heart goes out to all of you.
