Edith “Purdy” Brown

Ms. Edith P. Brown, of Wilmington, NC was born on February 16, 1949, a daughter of the late William and Pauline Purdy, and passed away on February 14, 2022, completing her journey of 73 years.

Ms. Edith loved to work, she was a workaholic until the very end. Her upmost joy was her grandchildren, in her spare time she enjoyed taking a trip to the beach. She will be missed by all who had a chance to meet her, her love will endure forever.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories one son: Robert L. Brown, Jr.; of Wilmington, NC; one daughter: Catherine Jackson and husband Gary of Shelby, NC; four grandchildren: Robert, Thomas; Jay, Peyton; one brother William Purdy and wife Dolly; along with a host of relatives and friends.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Robert L. Brown, Sr.
