Edward Alan Pearson, age 58 passed away Wednesday March 14, 2018.

Alan was born in Wilmington on November 13, 1959 to Walter and Elizabeth Pearson.

Alan grew up in Wilmington and graduated from New Hanover High School. He was a Customer Service Associate at Lowes Home Improvement on College Road and New Centre. Alan loved NASCAR and was a Jimmie Johnson fan. He had a love for all animals and loved giving dog biscuits to his 4 legged customers at Lowes.

Alan is survived by his wife of 25 years, Vanessa Lewis Pearson; his mother Elizabeth Hunt Pearson; two brothers Stephen Pearson and David Pearson; sister Lynn Pearson; nieces and nephews and his dogs “Jack”, “LB”, and “Oscar”,all of whom he loved very much.

A service of Remembrance will be held at a later time.

    Every tim I saw Alan he was smiling. He always had a story to tell, most of them very funny. I hadn’t seen him in a couple of years, but will miss him.

    I have known the pearson family all my life. I would keep in touch with the family through butch--I saw him frequently at lowe's. he would always fill me in on the family news. he was a great human being with a kind sole. my thoughts and prayers are with the family. he will be greatly missed.
