Edward Brantley Potter, Jr.


Mr. Edward Brantley Potter, Jr., of Wilmington, NC, was born November 2, 1933, in Wilmington, NC to the late Edward and Edell Potter, and passed away on August 19, 2021 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

A visitation is scheduled for Monday, August 23, 2021 from 10-11a.m. at Pine Valley Baptist Church.

Edward was a loving husband, a caring father, and cherished the time spent with his beloved grandchildren. He served faithfully in the United States Army during the Korean War. In Edward’s spare time he enjoyed fast-pitch softball, golf and woodcarving. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 66 years Connie S. Potter; one son, Edward B. Potter III (Elizabeth); one daughter, Susan P. Rae (Joseph); four grandchildren: Edward Potter IV, Kyle Rae, Tyler Rae, Kelly Rae; 2 great-grandchildren; along with a host of friends and relatives.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, August 23, 2021 at Pine Valley Baptist Church, with Pastors Bryan Blackwell and Melvin Hall officiating. Burial will follow the service at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
