Edward J. Richard, 74, of Wilmington died Saturday December 29, 2007 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Edward was born in Hartford, Connecticut on June 10, 1933. He retired in 1997 from the New Hanover County Public Schools.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years Dorothy Kerr Richard, four sons Eddie Richard and wife Sarah, Gary Richard and wife Ava, Tim Richard and Fran Richard, three daughters Linda Sinkiewcz and husband John, Donna Smith and husband Wilbur and Laurie Richard, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at St. Mary Catholic Church with The Reverend Bob Kus officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will see friends from 10:00 A.M until service time at the church.
